Cornelia
Georgeta Pacurariu
In 1994, Cornelia
Georgeta Pacurariu obtained a B.Sc.in
agronomy, horticulture speciality, from the University of Agricultural Sciences Cluj-Napoca
(Romania). After
graduating, she worked as training agronomist in grapevine.
Afterwards, she worked on market gardening as a person in
charge to develop the cultivation programs and the production
calendars, diseases identification, pests and weed control, to
recommend the treatments, to introduce the new cultures and to
eliminate the least productive. Since 2000 she worked as a sales
representative for a company specialized to produce pesticides, her
tasks were to explore the market and to promote pesticides sales in
the west of Romania. In August 2005, she immigrated in Canada. She
followed a formation at CarrefourBLE
to update her professional knowledge (sustainable agriculture, PAEF,
agro-economy, HACCP etc). Presently, she makes training course at
the Horticulture Research and Development Centre,
Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, in Plant Breeding and Physiology of
Fruits/Small Fruits, and Statistics team. Her principal task is to
evaluate the symptoms of mineral deficiency on strawberry plant.
