Ding obtained her B.Sc. in Pomology in 1998 from Shandong Agriculture
University and her M.Sc. in Pomology in 2002 from Shenyang Agriculture
University in P. R. China. She got her Ph.D. in Ecology sciences in 2005
from Institute of Botany, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, P. R. China. In
2006, she worked in Chonbuk National University of South Korea as a
Postdoctoral fellow. She is now a visiting fellow working at Agriculture and
Agri-Food Canada, Horticulture Research and Development Center, Fruit Breeding and Physiology Laboratory Research team under the supervision of S.
Khanizadeh in Quebec, Canada. She is presently studying the changes of
antioxidant enzymes (APX, MDHAR, DHAR and GR) and the level of compounds (ascorbate
and glutathione pools, and H2O2) involved in the ascorbate–glutathione cycle
in leaves of selected strawberry phenotypes infected by Mycosphaerella
fragariae to determine the different antioxidant and physiological responses
among genotypes with varying levels of resistance to this pathogen during
stress conditions. |
