Wang Qing-Lei

 

Wang Qing-Lei graduated from Dept. of Plant Protection, Chinese Agricultural University for bachelor in 1989 and for master in 2002. He had studied Japanese in Japanese Training Center of Chinese Agricultural Ministry in 1994, and had a training of herbage pests and diseases control in Hokkaido and Iwate, Japan in 1995. He works as a researcher in Cangzhou Agricultural & Forestry Academy of Science Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, P. R. China. He is working at the plant protection, especially in the studying of the integrated management of pests and diseases of fruit tree. In addition he has studied to control the soil pest using biological and biochemistry methods and to control the herbage pests and diseases. He also worked on various techniques in reserving postharvest quality of apples, pears and Chinese jujubes. Presently, he is working on antioxidant activity of the selected strawberry lines with Drs. Clément Vigneault, Shahrokh Khanizadeh and Marie-Thérèse Charles at the Horticultural Research and Development Center (HRDC) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a visiting scholar from China.
