Fruit characteristics: Fruit: very attractive, large, conic, prominently ribbed on body; basin: narrow, medium depth, crowned; calyx: lobes are persistent and erect, calyx tube is funnel shaped, stamens are in median position; cavity: acuminate, deep, fairly narrow, russeted; stem: long, medium diameter; core: medium size, open, in median position, with clasping core lines which are not prominent; carpels: elliptical, emarginate, smooth inside, a bit unsymmetrical, abaxile; seeds: mainly plump with an obtuse to acute tip to sometimes flattened on one or both sides, not tufted; skin: medium thickness, stripped and mottled dark red (RHS 46A) on orangy-red to medium-red over a yellow (RHS 8C) background, inconspicuous lenticels; flesh: firm, creamy white (RHS 155A), with very low discoloration after cutting.
Post Harvest, storage: after 2.5 months in cold storage, fruit skin is a bit waxy, flesh is moderately juicy to dry.
Other characteristics: Diseases and disorders: resistant to apple scab.
Adaptation & availability: Good for Quebec and Eastern and Central Canada. No budwood is available from the breeder until further testing.
