Origine: J.E. Griffith, Dryden (Washington).
Introduite en 1962. Mutation de la Starking
Delicious. Fruit: de grosseur moyenne; peau: peu
sujette aux meurtrissures, rouge uni; chair: blanc
verdâtre, très ferme, à texture fine; saveur:
sub-acide; qualité: très bonne; maturation: le 1er
octobre à Frelighsburg (Québec). Pommier: un peu
rustique et vigoureux, à lambourdes, de taille
équivalant à la moitié ou aux deux tiers d’un

pommier standard, à port dressé, produisant
abondamment. Autres caractéristiques:
se colore plus tôt que la
Starking Delicious; convient
bien aux secteurs plutôt
nordiques.

susceptibility to bruising, solid red; flesh: greenish
white, very firm, fine texture; flavor: subacid;
quality: very good; ripens Oct. 1 (Frelighsburg,
Quebec). Tree: somewhat hardy and vigorous, spur
type, small, one-half to two-thirds size of a standard
apple tree, upright, heavy producer, Other: colors
earlier than Starking Delicious; well suited for more
northerly regions.
