Origine: Ferme expérimentale, Ottawa. Introduite en 1910.
M. baccata x Simbirsk No. 9. Fruit: petit, 38 X 36 mm, de
type pommette, presque arrondi, fortement côtelé; calice:
grand, persistant et protubérant; pédoncule: long d’environ
26 mm; peau: jaune lavée de rouge à 60-80%; chair:
juteuse, très ferme; saveur: sub-acide, légèrement
astringente, plaisante; qualité: bonne; utilisation finale: en
conserve; maturation: le 30 août à Frelighsburg (Québec);
entreposage: jusqu’en septembre. Pommier: très rustique,
poussant et produisant
moyennement. Maladies et
troubles: sensible au virus
du bois strié.

ribbed; calyx: large, persistent and projecting; stem: about 26 mm long;
skin: yellow with 60-80% red blush; flesh: juicy, very firm; flavor:
subacid, slightly astringent, pleasant; quality: good; end use: canning;
ripens August 30 (Frelighsburg, QC); storage: till September. Tree: very
hardy, moderate grower with average
crops. Diseases and disorders:
susceptible to stem
pitting virus.
