Origine: Isaac C. Rogers, Dansville (New York). Introduite en 1932. Mutation de bourgeon de la McIntosh. Fruit: gros à
moyen; peau: rouge foncé uni; chair: modérément ferme, croquante; saveur: sub-acide, rappelant la fraise; qualité: très
bonne à excellente; utilisation finale: consommation en frais, cuisine, desserts; maturation: le 17 septembre à
Frelighsburg (Québec). Pommier: identique à celui de la variété parente. Autres caractéristiques: pomme très semblable à
la McIntosh sauf pour sa couleur; impossible à distinguer de la Summerland McIntosh.

Bud mutation of McIntosh. Fruit: medium to large; skin: dark solid
red; flesh: somewhat firm, crisp; flavor: subacid, strawberry-like;
quality: very good to excellent; end use: fresh, culinary, dessert;
ripens Sept. 17 (Frelighsburg, QC). Tree:
identical to parent. Other: very
similar to its parent McIntosh except
for the fruit color; indistinguishable
from Summerland McIntosh.
